We have had this pump now for two years and it has worked out great. Looking forward to be able to use it again this coming summer.

Bought this because my SWCG (salt water chlorine generator) went out after a few years and paper filter replacement and hastles of cleaning were sucking the fun out of having a pool. We use this new new Sand Filter and SWG system with a 24ft x 52in Intex pool and it works great. I like that one timer controls both the pump and the SWCG system. The old paper filters would cause the system to lose some pressure in a few days. This new system loses no pressure. I backwash every 2 weeks to clean out the dirt and no pressure loss in those 2 weeks.

When I received the brand new unit it had a bad pump motor. Called Intex and they sent a new one at no charge (actually thay sent the whole timer/motor/base unit so I just plugged in the hoses). Works like a charm.

I have been using this for a month now. I like that this system requires much less maintenance and 1 timer runs everything so no out of sync timing issues (no seperate timer for pump and SWCG).
